The Black Mambas Educational Legacy Fund
Reinforcing Success!
We want to up-skill and empower the Guardians to the African Bushveld like never before.
As the world’s first female anti-poaching unit, The Black Mambas have been breaking boundaries for over a decade - and they are ready for the next set of upskill.
The Mambas have a wealth of experience in the field, tracking animals, poachers and understanding the African flora and fauna. Now it’s time to turn that practical knowledge into qualifications so that their experience and expertise can be truly recognised.
Are you ready to help?
The ‘Field Guide of South Africa’ - FGASA - is internationally recognised and enables the Mambas to not only guide for the Bush Babies, visitors etc, but also to develop extra career streams into the future.
The FGASA programme has several levels, and we would love to raise enough funds to ensure that all 36 Mambas can go through their Level 1, and Level 2 FGASA, and also have funds for revision training, learning support and to gain their driving licences.
We are seeking to raise $50,000 as a starter, and, if we can raise more - that would be phenomenal.
We want to ensure that the current and future Mambas have an educational fund to lean into - including computer support, driver training and other skills, as well as the FGASA.
There is no better way to empower and open doors for others than through education - so every cent counts.
Rhino Mercy is a registered US Charity and has been supporting the Black Mambas since their inception in 2013.
All donations made through this site will go DIRECTLY to the Black Mambas APU and are eligible for 501c3 tax exemption.

The New Black Mamba Crime Prevention Unit
As the responsibilities of the Mambas have increased in recent years, it has become necessary to deploy a team that focuses solely on crime prevention; allowing the Black Mambas APU to focus on, and continue with their disruptive patrols.
