Supporting Wounded Veterans (NGO Charity)
Giving Back to Those Who Have Given So Much
Empowering Success assists Supporting Wounded Veterans, a UK-based charity that supports wounded campaign soldiers, including those who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. The veterans are battling with both physical and mental injuries that have proved life-changing and, in many cases, shattering.
The charity helps veterans rebuild their futures through a unique, specially designed, ski-based development programme every year in the Swiss resort of Klosters enabling them to regain their confidence and embark up a new path to fitness and wellbeing.
Once back in the UK, veterans join a mentoring and job-finding programme that supports them into re-training and employment.
The ultimate aim is to help veterans re-integrate into society, ensuring long-term stability for themselves and their families.
Alice joined the coaching and mentoring program in 2016, and will work with her new mentee from Spring 2017 for a year. This is a huge privilege for Alice, and an opportunity to help ensure that another serviceman can breach the infamous, yet to many intangible divide between military and civilian life.
All of the coaching and mentoring is provided pro-bono, but your support in running the rest of the pain relief and support initiatives is paramount to the all round development and recovery of each of the individuals.
